The men’s group at BVBC ministers to the heart of men who want to serve their Lord and King. We believe this can be accomplished in part, through the encouragement of men meeting together with other brothers on a regular basis.
We seek:

The pace of the world is accelerating and the ability for men to deal with work, family and their own personal relationship with God is more challenging than ever. While we believe the needs of men were established in the Garden of Eden, our enemy has adapted his tactics to keep us from realizing who we are in Christ.
Therefore we find that men are seeking:

What's said here, stays here!
In this era of temptations and conflicting priorities, now, more than ever, men need a place to develop their God-given roles as fathers, brothers, husbands...as men of faith.
A first place to start growing is by going to church and getting established in God's word.
The next place is to get plugged into a solid group of men who love their God and want to serve Him mightily. The men's group at BVBC is just the place for you.
We can help you grow as men in the following areas:

I'm a talk radio junkie. When I'm at work, sitting at my desk, working on a project or answering email, I'm listening to talk radio over the Internet. I listen in the car to and from work too. Lately, however, I've noticed that I needed a break from the current events topics being discussed.
I tuned into KLOV Christian radio this afternoon. I never listen to this station, mainly because the reception at my house and in the car isn't that great. The music, like the talk radio fades into the background as I'm working. Then a familiar song plays that catches my attention: Fly to Jesus.
In no time tears well up in my eyes. I was taken back to Matt Johnson's memorial service last January where we sang that song.
"Fly to Jesus and live."
I look forward to spending time with loved ones who have passed from this life to the next. I want to see Matt again, and my dad and brother. My mind wandered a bit as I listened. What a day that will be (to quote yet another song.) But my daydreaming was cut short by guilt, conviction, actually.
I was convicted that I care more about who is already in heaven or who will be there than those whom I might want to see there. Was this a guilt trip prompted by the evil one to rob me of the joy in this moment? Perhaps. But it did get me thinking about how often I share my faith.
Then I was reminded that a few days ago I had an opportunity to share my faith with the lady who cuts my hair. I was nervous at first but after chatting for a bit, I knew the Holy Spirit was leading me and guiding my words. I didn't realize until the song played how good this encounter was for me — I do care who goes to heaven!
It was also good for me to be reminded of what's important, not the current events of the day, but the souls of the people I encounter every day.
