Operation Christmas Child, a ministry of Samaritan's Purse.

Samaritan's Purse is a nondenominational evangelical Christian organization providing spiritual and physical aid to hurting people around the world. Since 1970, Samaritan's Purse has helped meet needs of people who are victims of war, poverty, natural disasters, disease, and famine with the purpose of sharing God's love through His Son, Jesus Christ. The organization serves the Church worldwide to promote the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Operation Christmas child’s Mission: To demonstrate God's love in a tangible way to needy children around the world, and together with the local church worldwide, to share the Good News of Jesus Christ.

Each year Operation Christmas Child delivers millions of shoe boxes that are filled with gifts and the good news of Jesus Christ to needy children. This effort cannot be accomplished without the tireless efforts of people like you.

Blossom Valley Bible Church will be a relay center during “National Collection Week”. This annual OCC event requires concerted efforts and coordination with other churches and ministries who have filled these shoe boxes. Operation Christmas Child (OCC) provides gift shoe boxes to millions of needy children and families throughout the world.

The Lord has been so faithful to work in and through His committed and available servants; you and the serving OCC team of hard working staff, Volunteer Area Teams, thousands of volunteers and shoe box donors! It has been exciting to see, all the fruit from the work/field coming into the Processing Centers in the form of millions of shoe box gifts; Gospel Opportunities each and every one! All from your prayers, hard work and efforts investing in and mobilizing the body of Christ domestically and around the world in each country of distribution in empowering local churches.

• Since 1993, Operation Christmas Child has hand-delivered more than 86 million gift-filled shoe boxes to needy children in more than 130 countries.
• Gospel Opportunities from the USA in 2011 over 6,000,000, and counting! The goal was 5,800,000!
• Internationally almost 9,000,000, and counting!, shoe box gifts already collected. WOW! And the goal was 8,500,000!

Your Operation Christmas Child Project Team Members at Blossom Valley Bible Church are Gary and Genece McChesney. They want to see children reached for Jesus through this ministry, which has been a true calling of the Holy Spirit.

Last year the greater south Bay Area collected 19,330 "gospel opportunities" and were praying for 22,750 this year. God increased our number of shoe boxes, collected last year by over 23%! Your generosity allowed us to collect 24,000 shoe boxes!

As a church BVBC turned in 233 shoe boxes, cash donations, and lots of extra stuff. Great job! We know that nothing is insignificant nor is there any job too small. "How lovely on the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news, who announces peace and brings good news of happiness, who announces salvation, and says to Zion, "Your God reigns!"" Isaiah 52:7
